3D Sculpture Practice, Exploring Form, Detail & Ideas
This sculpture practice started as an exploration of form, shape, and surface detail in 3D. I created the model from scratch in Blender, focusing on developing the sculptural language, proportions, and overall visual character.
Using Blender for both modeling and rendering allowed me to experiment with different forms, materials, lighting, and compositions. The process became more than just a modeling exercise; it opened up **many new creative ideas and possibilities** for future characters, creatures, environments, and visual development projects.
I really enjoyed the freedom of working in 3D because every stage of the process generated new ideas. Small changes in the silhouette, surface, or lighting could completely change the mood and direction of the piece.
Overall, this was an amazing practice session that helped me push my 3D skills while exploring new ways to develop ideas visually.
